House (where he helped create Rural Free Delivery) and then the Senate. ![]() Watson began as a fire-breathing egalitarian Populist in Georgia in the 1890s, talking before racially integrated audiences about how the poor white man and the poor black man were “in the same ditch.” He portrayed himself as the enemy of the railroads and bankers. I think a great biopic would be of Tom Watson, based on C. ![]()
